SHORT BIO

Originally from Costa Rica, Edgar traveled to Prague in 2011 to study cinema at the Academy of performing arts in Prague (FAMU), where he attained a B.A. in film editing and an M.A. in directing film and digital media.

He works across documentary and scripted projects with a focus on history, character and strong storytelling. Recent credits include editing of an upcoming National Geographic series, showrunning a 6-part docuseries for ZDF/TF1 with Big Media, and now serving as series director of a historical docu-drama for Big Media and ZDF. Alongside documentary work, he has written feature scripts, TV pilots and is currently editing his first novel.
